On Sept. 24, singer and songwriter Taylor Swift made an appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs football game to support her new boo, Travis Kelce. 

Many fans were surprised at Swift’s choice of man. Some think it’s just for publicity, while others feel as though Kelce isn’t good enough for Swift. On the other hand, football fans are just tired of hearing about her. 

Owen Scheeler is one of those who think it’s for publicity. “Travis Kelce isn’t the kind of guy that Taylor dates. It seems fake, like a publicity stunt to promote the NFL as a whole,” Owen Scheeler said. Owen is a fan of Swift but he does not approve of this relationship. 

“She deserves someone who can give her space to grow and allow her career to flourish and I just don’t see Travis being able to be supportive of the kind of career Taylor has. I hope the relationship comes to an end soon,” Scheeler said.

While many Taylor fans disapprove of her choice in man, many football fans are tired of hearing about her. They feel as though she’s taken over the NFL and has made it all about herself. 

“I am tired of hearing about Taylor Swift when I am just trying to watch Sunday night football. She takes everything and makes it about herself. She doesn’t deserve Travis,” Addison Nagy said. Nagy is an avid football fan. 

“I feel like she finds a way to make every NFL game about herself, even if it’s not a Chiefs game,” Nagy said. 

While some fans agree the Swift is taking over the NFL, other football fans don’t care. 

“I honestly don’t really pay attention to all the hype behind the couple. I’m just hoping the relationship will be over soon,” Payton Crane said, an NFL fan.

Both fan clubs seem to agree that the relationship between Kelce and Swift is just a scam for publicity for both individuals. State High students feel as though they are both trying to trick the internet into supporting Kelce’s football career and Swift’s singing career. Both fan clubs hope to see it end soon
