Deals, Deals, Deals…
Black Friday and Cyber Monday means opportunity to get great deals on everything from clothes to food to video games. There are all kinds of deals out there. Jack Hurley, junior said “I love deals!”. So no matter what you are into, there is always something for you. It all depends how committed to shopping and waiting in the hour plus lines you are.

Black Friday and Cyber Monday mean one thing, deals. I am all about not spending money, so when I see a deal, I am very interested. I do not know if I would venture as far to say that I would get up at four o’clock in the morning just to wait for hours on end until the doors open, or waiting in tents during the days leading up to it. What is the point? Maybe it’s just me, but I would much rather be in my extremely comfy bed, sleeping, rather than waiting in a gigantic line just to be trampled by other cranky shoppers who will wrestle you to the ground for the same product you want.
I have talked to a couple of people about this topic, and to my surprise that not everyone in the school thinks the same way I do, each person had a different opinion. “I would just much rather be sleeping, I value my sleep way too much to waist my time shopping early in the morning just to get something 50% off, when I can get the same exact thing for the same exact price two or three hours later.” said junior, Phillip Vollmer. “I love deals and I love shopping, but I am not that dedicated.” Vollmer added while cracking a smile. On the other hand, there are other students who prefer to get up, in the freezing cold, I may add, and get ‘the best deal’ possible. Sophomore, Jack Hurley, had a very profound opinion on this topic, “I love shopping! I need it!” Hurley said. “I have a tent set up in the mall parking lot three days prior to Black Friday, and when the doors open, it is all out war. It is a very competitive atmosphere, one which I feed off of.” I have to admit, I love the kids enthusiasm. If you are going to do something as crazy as camp out waiting for three days, why not go all out? After listening to multiple opinions, I have decided that Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping may not be as awful of an idea as I thought. However, I think I will stick with my sleep and sanity at my own home.
