State High is adding a large amount of IB courses beginning next year. IB courses are a great way for high school students to accumulate college credits while still attending high school. According to Jennifer Schreiber, IB coordinator and Latin teacher, “The International Baccalaureate Organization has now authorized State College Area High School as an IB World School, and these programmes are recognized around the world.”

Penn State Dance Team Members walk alongside a participant of the Buddy Walk on October 20th. The Buddy Walk was successful fundraiser for the The Centre Region Down Syndrome Society. Chloe Bevilacqua, senior, said, “It was amazing! I am so impressed with the community involvement for the Buddy Walk as well as the number number of people from State High Best Buddies who came.”

The food court is being used daily for breakfast and lunch. It offers a variety of healthy options. The food-court styled cafeteria has greatly improved in comparison to the old cafeterias.
