HOSH

“One of the most important things I have ever learned is that you need to love yourself before you can really love other people. If you don’t have a good relationship with yourself, it hurts every other aspect of your life. You can’t be as good of a friend, or as good of a kid to your parents, or a sibling, if you are really struggling with loving yourself. I would say accepting yourself, loving yourself, giving yourself space to step back and be like, ‘this is high school, we’re all screwed up,’ and realize that it’s ok to not understand yourself fully, it’s ok to be discovering yourself, it’s ok to not know what you want to do with your life. As long as you are ok with the uncertainty of being a teenager, I feel like that will make you a lot stronger of a person – more confident, and more open to other people.”
