“I never thought that I would live somewhere that’s landlocked. Because I grew up in the Navy, I have always lived somewhere that’s close to water and State College is very not close to water. So that’s definitely been something that if you asked me three years ago I would not have said that I’d be living in Central Pennsylvania.”

“A memory that I wish I could hold onto forever is last year when I was a freshman, I was at a track meet with some of my friends. I didn’t run track, but all my friends did. I remember it was the championships and I was just so proud of being there for my friends when they were doing this big thing. That was really great. I was there with somebody else that loved track and it was really fun to just watch my friends do something that they’re good at and be able to be there for them in that moment.”
