PREVIEW: Boys Volleyball Playoff vs. Seneca Falls

The Boy’s Volleyball team is set to face a tough opponent, Seneca Valley, in the North Gym on Tuesday, June 4th. This is the first game of the PIAA  State Tournament for the team, as they look to continue their success this season.

Coming off of a huge win in their play-in game against Erie McDowell on Thursday, there is definitely a ton of momentum and confidence going into this game.

Junior Carter Weight commented on the team’s overall emotion going into this game.  “I think we are definitely pretty confident. I think this is a team that if we take care of things early, we can definitely put them away quick.”

Weight, who is attending Ohio State to continue his athletic career,  has had a huge impact on the team this year and came up big in the play-in game with 15 kills. Senior, Kadin Karaky also had 15 kills in the play-in game as the team ended up winning 3-1.

They are facing a very tough opponent in the opening round of the tournament, Seneca Valley, who is a strong team coming out of the WPIAL.

Weight commented on the opponent they are facing, saying, “They have definitely played against tough teams, but I think they will struggle with the tempo that we play at.”

The boys will play at 5:30 in the North Gym, where the first 25 students will be let in for free.
