Mental Health Matters Club partners with the Jana Marie Foundation in honor of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month.

In honor of National Suicide Prevention Awareness Week, State High’s Mental Health Matters Club, staff, and volunteers were able to get a chance to connect and engage with students at State High. “One of the most complex parts about talking about mental health is the stigma around it – however, talking about it is how we help each other know that we are not alone,” Elisabeth James, High School Mental Health Clinician, said.

Josh Shapiro, Governor of Pennsylvania: At rally in Greensville, North Carolina, Donald J. Trump alleged that the election would be unfair. He stated, “Are they cheating, Michael? They’re trying but they're not gonna get away with it.” Shapiro responded to these accusations of election fraud. “Well, let's be clear, in 2020 we had a free and fair, safe and secure election that Joe Biden won by about 80,000 votes, we are again going to have a free and fair, safe and secure election because our neighbors, Republican and Democratic clerks in counties all across Pennsylvania, especially here in Centre County, are going to do their jobs to make sure that their friends and neighbors votes are casted safely and counted accurately, and it is critically important that we continue that work, by the way, it's also one of the critically important reasons why we need to elect Eugene De Pasquale the attorney general," Shapiro said. “When I was attorney general, last time in Pennsylvania, Donald Trump took me to court 43 different times to try and undermine the vote here in Pennsylvania. He went on 43 we went 43 and oh, and again, we had a free and fair, safe and secure election. It's critically important that we have an attorney general who's going to uphold the rule of law and protect our voter rights here in Pennsylvania,” he continued.
