Junior Elliot Mathews sings “Learning to Fly” by Tom Petty. Mathews says his favorite song in the concert was "Change in the House of Flies" by Def Jams. He looked forward to the New York Song (“New York, I Love You" by LCD Soundsystem), commenting, “I don't know if everyone's going to like it, but I like it.”

Freshman Éa Stilson and junior Elliot Mathews sing side by side. Reece Havird commented on the musicians within the Rock Ensemble community. “There's a lot of talented people, definitely. We all come from different backgrounds. Some of us have more classical upbringings with music, and some of us just found a guitar in our basement and decided to play one day. So, it's really cool the variety of people you'll find,” Havird said.

Caytlin Kramer is a first year diver, coming in after various years in gymnastics, and has quickly picked up various skills, including somersaults, inward and reverse dives.
A Look Inside the State High Diving Team
The State High Swim Team competed against Central Dauphin on Jan. 9. The team gathered along the pool's edge to support their teammates' swimming. The team has a strong bond of teamwork, which is shown through team spirit and perseverance. “I think everybody is very supportive, and the cheering at home meets is uplifting and makes people happier,” freshman Natalie Huggins said.

They are both a part of this team that “...help support peers that are our age who struggle with mental health issues and other things that they may struggle with, like family issues, and they can just come and talk to us if they need to let it out and don't want to talk to an adult,” Risha said.
