Tired of not having any new music? Well, Hip hop artist Kid Cudi recently released a new album, “Man on the Moon III: The Chosen,” on Dec. 11. The highly-anticipated album follows his self-made trilogy of albums now dating back a decade. Kid Cudi has taken part in new projects in 2020, such as his features on “A Sweeter Place” and “THE SCOTTS.” The release of “Man on the Moon III: The Chosen” made for the perfect finish to the year.

Kid Cudi has popularized this smooth style of hip hop that so many people love to this day. Within the first month of the album’s release, Kid Cudi earned an equivalent of 144,000 album units sold, 15,000 of those units are from album sales, and 127,000 units are from streaming platforms. So, the remaining question is; will this album become recognized as the best music project of 2020?

“[This is] easily one of my top favorite albums that came out this year,” senior Jacob Sullivan said. “Kid Cudi is one of the most talented artists in the industry.”

Sullivan isn’t the only person who enjoys the new album. The album has been receiving praise from fans and critics alike since its release.

Kid Cudi gathered multiple famous artists to feature on some of his songs on the album. Artists such as Trippie Redd, Pop Smoke, Phoebe Bridgers, and Skepta are all featured. These artists brought more interest to the release, and in this case of Pop Smoke, heightened attention due to his recent death.

So, do you think the album is worth your listen? Do you think it will have enough potential to take the album of the year? Surely, there is a great chance that the album will do great and lots of others believe so too.
