Spring Mental Health Summit Recap
Guest speaker Dr. Richard Alley, geologist and Evan Pugh Professor of Geosciences at the Pennsylvania State University, speaks about solar energy and the importance of avoiding global warming consequences. Alley answered the question, “How can we contribute to promoting positive climate effects?” with the response, “I think you’re already doing it, it is talk, it is share, it is using this towards your career, you’re thinking, you’re doing, we need a few of you who can be professionals, the inventors, but most of you just have to contribute to the vote, to the discussion."
State High Goes Green: Growing Responsibility for the Environment
Senior shooting guard Reed Melvin holds his follow through as he pulls up for a midrange jumpshot. “Yeah I love them, all the boys. I always enjoyed going to practice and playing with them. I feel like I took a bigger step than last year. I think our team just battled most of the year and came back from our bad losses,” Melvin said.

Students buzz past the Roar Store on their way to the last lunch period of the day. The store is open during lunches on a regular basis, and occasionally open after school during certain events. In between lunch periods the store shuts down for cleaning, ensuring a safe and clean experience for the students of the following lunch.
