Jackson Harper, Staff Writer
Hello! My name is Jackson Harper. I am (obviously), a student here at State High, and although I am a bit saddened by the end of summer, I am equally as excited for the beginning of a new school year! My father works at PFMS as an Academic Literacy teacher and my mother is the membership coordinator for the UUFCC. I have two younger siblings. I am a busy person out of choice and like being tired at the end of each day. If I am not, I feel as though I have wasted my day. I am a big supporter of music at State High, and I am enrolled in 10th Grade Band. I am a member of the State High Marching Band and play Auxiliary Percussion, which is essentially a cymbal, tambourine, and cowbell rigged on a harness. I participated in Spanish Club, Outing Club, Tri-M, and Model UN last year. I am taking Journalism this year because I have an interest in reporting on events both in print and in visual media, such as WSCH.
