Humans of State High

Humans of State High

“My favorite memory is when I met my sister’s pets for the first time. I thought they were all going to hate me, but they actually love me. It was a very hot day, and we were driving for an hour and a half. Then I went inside her house, and a dog randomly greeted me at the door. I thought the dog must be Nala, so I pet them and went around the house. I saw a cat and they looked at me like I was an intruder, which I expected, because most cats hate me. Pretty soon, I went to sleep since the car ride made me tired, and I woke up to all of them laying with me, all four of them. I honestly didn’t notice they were laying with me until I tried to get up and they looked at me, sorta saying ‘you better not get up.’ Now, I get along really well with her pets. They love me. My sister even once had to ban me from giving them attention since her cats crave attention. So when I gave them lots of attention [and] then left, they would go around the house looking for me.”
