Hear the boom of bombs and breaking hearts.
Hear the all consuming silence of last words and ending lives.
Listen to the hum of terror.
This is what they wanted.
Terror is what they wanted.
Some die in antiseptic halls.
Others die in rubble made walls.
This is what they wanted.
Death is what they wanted.
Break apart with pain and grief.
Worlds away but everyone still weeps.
This is what they wanted.
Pain is what they wanted.
Hear the anger in their cries.
Listen to the rage that speaks in their eyes.
Break your stillness, break your silence.
Let’s not give them what they wanted.
