State College High School Boys Indoor Track had a successful meet at the 3rd Penn State Invitational event so far this year. The State High Boys “distance medley relay 4×4 team” containing junior Bennett Norton, senior Zach DeCarmine, junior Brady Bigger, and sophomore Sean Adams had an absolute stand out day. The relay team placed first at the event, with a time of 10:35, putting them in third place in PA for fastest 4×4 Distance Relay. This fast, outstanding run puts them in contention for the state competition this upcoming Spring. The team is set for a win, considering all four of the members on this relay team are highly accomplished and fit runners. Adams has won competitions as a freshman, Conrad Moore has been in many high-level competitions over his high school career, Zach DeCarmine is committed to a Division I college for track and field, and Brady Bigger ran a mile a tad over five minutes in his sophomore year.

“We are going to states and have a pretty good shot at winning it. Coming back as defending champs it feels good to have a home field advantage with pressure on us, because we perform best when the pressure is on. We will give our best efforts to win the state ship,” DeCarmine said.

On another note, junior Conrad Moore had a big day as well, he placed first in the event for State High in the high jump event. Moore has a successful past for State High Indoor Track but this is by far his biggest win so far, as he won by a long shot in the invitational.

“I’m pretty confident considering I have been in a lot of high level meets with good competition. I think I need to stay focused and keep practicing so I can be as ready as possible to win this,” Moore said.

The team looks forwards to a successful spring season and continuing to chase another state title.
