Humans of State High

“I regret a lot of the things I’ve spent so much time worrying over. I wish I didn’t care so much about appearance-it doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. My logical self knows, but for some reason, I can’t shake it. I regret it a lot because looking back on your younger self and being like, ‘Looks really don’t matter, I wish you hadn’t spent so much time worrying about them.’ As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that beauty is defined by who you are and what you instill on others, not your outward appearance. There are times when I regret not necessarily doing the right thing, like doing nothing when you see something happening. I wished I’d said something but I didn’t.”
