My name is Joshua Miller and I am a senior here at State High. I have always been passionate about following news developments and I think taking journalism provides me with an excellent opportunity to immerse myself in the dynamic environment of news coverage. Outside of my academic regimen, I participate in a wide variety of activities. I play trombone in the marching band, participate in Science Olympiad, and play tennis on the school team. Additionally, I play IMBA basketball on the championship-bound Neon Ballerz, an experience that includes maintaining an innovative website covering an assortment of team information. Along with my extracurricular activities, I am an avid supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia 76ers (Trust the Process). I intend on bringing unique, creative perspectives on various issues and developments.

One of the activities tennis players took part in this year consisted of bouncing a single tennis ball up with their racket while running. The exercise focused on improving hand-eye coordination and concentration. Given that handling one ball was hard enough, bouncing three balls at a time (as displayed in the picture) would require some exceptional skill!

The infamous Scantron form is an all too familiar sight when taking mid-term exams. Scantron forms contribute to the convenience of midterms because each student’s exam is graded by simply scanning the form on a machine. This expedites the grading process.
