Well-known global studies teacher Sean Rarrick has been gracing the school with his presence for a very long while (presumably one of the first teachers ever with him working 20 years or more). He returns and brings a mix of hard work but fun memorable experiences for all to enjoy., Last year, he was teaching geography but his course has shifted to some ancient history.
People describe Rarrick as friendly, a joke teller, engaging, and a mix of awkwardness with the puns but thoughtful for supporting others and having a familiar upbeat attitude to many. As for his outside life, he loves being outdoors, going camping or to his son’s game and also taking long road trips. Basically anything that is outside he’s bound to do it.
The way Rarrick teaches is in a fresh laid back kind of way where students feel free and involved. He lets his students be a part of his teaching, whether that be them reading aloud, helping him with some example presentations. It is a very active class and he makes sure no kid is left out of the engagement.
Other distinct aspects he has is the freedom and peace that evokes, whenever he’s around or is in the middle of teaching class. The same could be said for other classes, but students actually feel a sense of relaxation or serenity, especially with him not instantly getting down to business and allowing some fun at the start.
He does have a clear rule about hoods being in the class and has kept it known ever since last year. He doesn’t like his students worrying or stressing and will do his best to help guide them and make them understand.
The work itself isn’t super extreme and he has a repetitive theme, sometimes a whole class assignment together or drawing some ancient history. And even if they’re not feeling like working that day he will just leave them out of it and take off points or make a call, he wants his students to have fun and succeed
Rarrick had a certain response that explained why he works at school. ¨I love interacting with the kids,¨ he said.
Another person who was interviewed was Mrs Fry for her thoughts on Rarrick, where she said, “Mr Rarrick always brings joy to the classroom, he has a talent for working with some of our toughest students and making it look easy.”
Íf one ever found their place in Mr Rarrick’s class, they should expect a check in with everyone first thing before class, some nice warm up videos to get the day started like CNN 10, and just a calm engaging and fun vibe circulating throughout all the while the dad joke teller is creating a mix of seriousness but laid backness at the same time.
