On April 14, additional security measures were in effect at State High following the announcement of a thwarted, credible school shooting threat.

On April 12, SCASD students and community members were made aware of a credible school shooting threat planned for State High. In turn, metal detectors in were in place at the high school from April 14 to April 21.
