Ariana Grande, two-time Grammy winner and one of the most streamed and followed female artists, recently announced her “Eternal Sunshine” tour with 41 stops around the globe Touring from June to September, 2026, this will be her first tour since 2019 and the “Sweetener” world tour. With this tour she is promoting her newest three time grammy nominated album “eternal sunshine”.
With this tour it has set a record for ticket presale beating taylor swift’s presale record. Taylor Swift’s record was 2 million grandes however 6 million people queued to buy tickets. This really shows how high of a demand there is to see this concert.
Though this is very exciting, she is once again touring for her fans. Unfortunately because there is so much demand for these tickets that already have a minimum price of around $500 . That can get more expensive with scalpers due to the fact that she isn’t using dynamic pricing.
Dynamic pricing is when celebrities that tour will set their prices based on data analysis. So often with dynamic pricing the prices are very different from other prices. Along with the fact that if the tickets are in high demand the price would be likely to increase even during her tour.
Scalpers are people who will re-sell typically concert tickets. Most of the time for a much more inflated price than the original.
The reason this would affect is because dynamic pricing will make tickets more expensive. With the lack of this it will probably make it much easier for scalpers to buy a lot of tickets en masse and be able to charge a lot more.
“I think it’s very nice that she opts out of dynamic pricing, which makes her show more affordable. I hope other artists follow in her footsteps. However, the lack of dynamic pricing makes it easier for ticket scalpers to mass buy tickets and overcharge for them, so I’m not sure if this solves the problem, but I think it’s good progress towards making concerts more affordable,” junior Mae Schnable, a Grande fan, said.
With the price already being a minimum of $500 for just the cost of the ticket not including travel and other expenses. Most people interviewed say the most they’d be willing to pay would range from $100-$200. It can be seen that this is a really big jump from the actual pricing. This and the fact that concerts are really big commitments due to travel, hotels or pales to stay, outfits, and so much more goes into concert preparation.
Junior Whitney McMullen, an Ariana fan since November of last year, thought they would really like to see her life when asked why she said “because she’s so cool and awesome and pretty and talented at everything”.
So,whether Ariana Grande’s tour is a hit, it probably will be considering the reviews on her past tours or if fans end up being disappointed. All that fans can hope is that Grande and her team will be satisfied with whatever happens in the present.
