Diseased
February 16, 2017
We fight evergreen;
We survive the organic philosophy
Stationary spines suffice enough
To stretch us up,
But conclude the torrential adventure
With an alpine genetic pretense.
Thorny bones grow rigid
Beneath our skin,
Straining, tearing, biting
We end with splintered heart,
Lips cracked and faded,
Seeding clogged arteries,
Floral oceans flood lungs with
Kaleidoscope audacity
