He unlocked my stomach, sent chills through my spine

I exhaled

The breath carried away dandelion seeds


I inserted my hand

And pulled out a brooch

It refracted the sunlight

Casting shadows across his face


We laughed

And watched the brooch relax, bud

Into a hyacinth

It twisted, then dissolved
