Abigail Kann, Yearbook Spread Editor

Abigail is a senior and a second-year Journalism student. This year she is excited about her new role as a yearbook spread editor as well as writing articles for Lions Digest again. Outside of school, she enjoys photography, being with people who make her happy, and driving with the windows down.

Many State High students signed the “Spread the Word Inclusion” poster during school. “We had the poster for people to sign showing that they believe in inclusion and that they will do something to promote [inclusion] in the school environment,” Mrs. Percival said.

Junior Alex Walaschek (#32) in net for the State College junior varsity team on March 5, 2020 against Central Cambria. Walaschek faced 22 shots on goal throughout the game, which ended in a 5-5 tie. Walaschek also plays for the varsity team as well as a club team outside of school.

BRGR, the newest burger restaurant in town, opened on September 9th, 2019. “BRGR has a friendly environment and nightlife vibe,” junior Iyonnah Doss said. You can find BRGR at their location 122 College Avenue next to The State Theatre.

State High students are dancing to the second to last song at the 2018 Music Formal. The Music Formal took place on Saturday, June second at 7:30-10:30. The Music Formal is a dance that only music kids can attend, except for the plus one guest policy. Abigail Kann, freshman, says, “It was super fun and the music was great, especially the live jazz band.”
