As spring is officially here, spring cleaning is on a rise. Folks from state college are going out with the old and in with the new. Which makes it the perfect time for Pop Up Ave, a pop up flea market based in the heart of State College. On Saturday, April 29th community members throughout Centre County congregated at the Garner Street parking lot from 11am to 7pm. Vendors from across Pennsylvania contributed products such as vintage Penn State clothing, band clothes, candles, decor, art, and other knick-knacks. Shoppers were able to enjoy the live music from a variety of performers, including a performance from State High Delta Alumni, Jack Williams, known as Hughes. Not only was there free entertainment, but also free Arts and Crafts. 2000 degrees offered a free paint-a-tile station while The Makery provided a variety of crafts. There was even an art-history themed photo booth provided by the Woskob Family Gallery. Juniors Sara Washell and Alyssa Genther spent the day at Pop Up and were impressed by the live music. “It was really fun to be able to relax and hunt for thrift items while being mused by the performers” said Washell.
