National Adoption Day is meant to celebrate and raise awareness for families who are involved in the adoption process. Rachel Fatula, freshman, said, “I think people that were adopted should know that it is nothing you should be embarrassed or ashamed about. What people should know about adoption is that it is not fair to make comments about being a “mistake” or so on and so forth. You should celebrate and educate yourself about it.”

Halloween is a holiday that is liked by most people, however not many people know much about how it became the celebration that it is now. Tanner Deyo, freshman, said, “I love Halloween, but I don’t really know anything about how it started.” Halloween is the second most celebrated holiday in the 
U.S. after Christmas, but the history is not commonly known.

Although most students like the changes some students feel otherwise. Tori Brooks, senior, said,” The old start times were what I’m used to. The whole three years of getting out at 3:16, so now everyday I think it’s time to go but then I have to wait until 3:40. But I like sleeping in until 7:30.” Most students feel that the change has its perks and downsides.
